The basics of the Paleo Lifestyle/Diet is exactly that, getting back to basics. For the past 50 years, our packaged food supply has become filled with almost anything other than real food. Ingredients are hard to recognise, the product is filled with refined sugar, and there are next to no nutrients.

For many people, the removal of grains, dairy, refined sugars, and anything artificial from their diet, helps them see amazing results for their health. These are the ingredients that our ancestors are unlikely to have formed as the basis of their diet, yet are now the most prominent in our food supply, hence why the basic template of the Paleo lifestyle is to remove these as much as reasonably possible.
